Take the TTC to the many events and activities around the city this weekend

With no planned subway closures taking place this weekend, the TTC is the fastest, most convenient and affordable way to travel across Toronto and enjoy everything the city has to offer. 

Service increased on routes to the CNE

The TTC has increased service on the 29 Dufferin, 929 Dufferin Express, 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst routes, and introduced CNE express shuttle buses from Dufferin Station, until Sept. 7., to make it easier for people to get to the Canadian National Exhibition. TTC staff will be available at key locations and subway stations to assist customers with information and provide directions.  

Monday to Thursday – Early nightly subway closures between St George and Broadview stations

From Mon., Aug. 31, to Thurs., Sept. 3, subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between St George and Broadview stations will end at midnight each night for planned track work.  
 
Shuttle buses will operate frequently, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with TTC staff for assistance.  
 
Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed, as well as the Yonge St. entrance to Line 2 at Bloor-Yonge Station. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO Tickets, and connect to surface routes.  

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
