Upcoming scheduled subway closures and service adjustments
This Sat., Sept. 20 and Sun., Sept. 21, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Kipling and Keele stations to accommodate planned signal work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans buses will be available for any customer requiring assistance.
Runnymede and High Park stations will be closed during this time. Royal York Station will be open, however the automated entrance at Grenview Blvd. will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open during the closure for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Monday to Friday – Early nightly closures between Ossington and St George stations
This Mon., Sept. 22 through Fri., Sept. 26, subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Ossington and St George stations will end nightly at 11:59 p.m. for planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Christie station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Monday to Thursday – Limited nightly service between Finch West and Sheppard West Stations
Beginning at 11 p.m. nightly from Mon., Sept. 22 to Thurs., Sept. 25, there will be limited subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch West and Sheppard West stations due to structural maintenance.
Trains operating between Finch West and Sheppard West stations will operate on a single track in both directions. Customers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes if travelling through this area. Customers will need to change trains at Finch West and Sheppard West stations to continue their journey northbound or southbound. Regular service will resume the following morning at 6 a.m.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.

- On Sat., Sept. 20, between 5:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the following routes will divert during the RBC Race for the kids: 36 Finch West, 42 Cummer, 53 Steeles East, 60 Steeles West, 97/320 Yonge, 125 Drewry, 953 Steeles East Express and 960 Steeles West Express.
- From 6 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 20 until 10 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 21, 72 Pape buses will run along Broadview Ave. between O’Connor Dr. and Mortimer Ave. during the Pape Village Block Party
Construction
- From 11 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Sept. 18, until 4 a.m. tomorrow, Fri., Sept. 19, 504/304 King streetcars will redirect from King St. during overhead wire work at King St. E. and Church St. 503 Kingston Road replacement buses will accommodate customers travelling on King St. between Spadina and Broadview Ave.
- Between 11 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 19, and 4 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 22, service on the 509 Harbourfront and 510/310 Spadina routes will be adjusted during overhead wire work in the Harbourfront Tunnel. 509 Harbourfront streetcars will run between Exhibition Loop and Queens Quay and Spadina Ave., while 510/310 Spadina streetcars will run from Spadina Station to Queens Quay and Spadina Ave. Replacement buses will operate between Union Station and Queens Quay and Spadina Ave.
- From 12:01 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 20, until 5 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 21, the 97 Yonge and 320 Yonge Night buses will divert during a crane lift at 79 Yonge St. Northbound buses will run via King St. W., Bay St., and Adelaide St., while southbound buses will divert onto Richmond St. W., Bay St. and King St. W.
- Through 7 a.m. on Sun., Oct. 5, 23 Dawes northbound buses are redirecting from Rexleigh Dr. during road rehabilitation work. Buses are running along Glenwood Cres., St. Columbia Pl. and St. Clair Ave. E.
- Until 7 a.m. on Fri., Oct. 31, the 154 Curran Hall eastbound buses are running along Orton Park Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E. during City of Toronto watermain replacement work taking place at Scarborough Golf Club Rd. and Brimorton Dr.
- Until 7 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 22, 34/334 Eglinton East westbound buses are diverting during emergency Toronto Water work at Eglinton Ave. E. and Warden Ave. Buses are diverting onto Warden Ave., Ashtonbee Rd. and Hakimi Ave.
