TTC cranks up service for System of a Down fans this week

The TTC is ready to help fans bounce to the beat as System of a Down takes the stage at Rogers Stadium on Wed., Sept. 3 and Fri., Sept. 5. Whether you're heading to the show or just trying to avoid the toxicity of traffic, we’ve got you covered.

To support concertgoers, additional service will run on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. Fans are encouraged to take Line 1 to Downsview Park, Sheppard West, or Wilson stations. Downsview Park is closest to the venue. All three are within walking distance, so you won’t need to chop suey your travel plans.

For customers with accessibility needs, a dedicated shuttle will operate between Wilson Station and Rogers Stadium before and after each show – be sure to jet pilot your way to the accessible stops.

Extra buses will be deployed on routes 84 Sheppard West and 96 Wilson, and the 101 Downsview Park route will be extended to Sheppard West Station from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., diverting via Sheppard Ave. and Keele St.

Commuter parking is available at Sheppard West, Pioneer Village, Highway 407, and Finch West stations.

To assist with wayfinding, additional TTC staff will be stationed at Downsview Park and Wilson. The TTC is also extending customer service hours on X until 12:30 a.m. to respond to inquiries in real time via @TTCHelps.

In partnership with Live Nation, the TTC is offering free rides home for concert ticket holders from Downsview Park, Sheppard West, and Wilson stations. Just show your concert ticket to TTC staff after the show. No need to ask, “Why’d you leave the [car] keys upon the table?”

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternate routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
