Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments


This Sat., Nov. 22 only, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St George and St Andrew stations for planned station work.

Shuttle buses will not be operating for this closure. Instead, customers are encouraged to travel along the Yonge side of Line 1 and connect to east and west bus and streetcar routes to travel within the downtown core. Wheel-Trans buses will be available for any customer requiring assistance.

Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Construction

 

  • Until 7 a.m. on Sun., Nov. 30, 26 Dupont buses will redirect onto St George St. between St George Station and Dupont St. during roadwork along Bedford Rd.

 

  • From 12 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 21 and Sat. Nov. 22, 75 Sherbourne buses will divert during bridge repairs at Lower Jarvis and Lakeshore Blvd. Northbound buses will run along Lower Jarvis St., The Esplanade and Lower Sherbourne St., while southbound buses will redirect onto Lower Sherbourne St., Front St., Parliament St and Queens Quay E.

     

  • Starting at 5 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 22, 501/301 Queen streetcars will redirect onto Dundas St. between Broadview Ave. and Parliament St. due to city watermain work and TTC streetcar track upgrades along Queen St. E. between Broadview Ave. and Davies Ave. 503 Kingston Road replacement buses will run via Queen St. E. between Broadview Ave. and Parliament St. 301B Queen buses will run between Broadview Station and Parliament St. and King St. E. 504B/304 King eastbound streetcars will continue to operate as far east as Distillery Loop.

Monday to Friday – Early nightly closures between Osgoode and College stations

Mon., Nov. 24, through Fri., Nov. 28, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Osgoode and College stations will end nightly at 12 a.m. for planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.


St Andrew, King and Queen stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
