Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments


This Sat., Nov. 8 and Sun., Nov. 9, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St George and St Andrew stations for planned station work.

Shuttle buses will not be operating for this closure. Instead, customers are encouraged to travel along the Yonge side of Line 1 and connect to east and west bus and streetcar routes to travel within the downtown core. Wheel-Trans buses will be available for any customer requiring assistance.


Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.


Events

  • Between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 8, 102D Markham Road buses will run along Wootten Way N., between Parkway Ave. and Highway 7, during the Veteran’s Remembrance Day Parade in Markham.

 

  • Until 5 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 18, the 29C Dufferin and 329 Dufferin Night routes are not servicing stops south of Dufferin Gate Loop due to road closures during the Royal Winter Fair.

 

Construction

  • From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly until Sun., Nov. 9, 511 Bathurst streetcars will be replaced by buses between Exhibition Loop and Bathurst St. and King St. W. during road work.

     

  • Between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 7, the 501/301 Queen streetcars will divert during city work at Queen St. W. and Simcoe St. Westbound streetcars will run along Church St., King St. and Spadina Ave., while eastbound streetcars will operate on Spadina Ave. and Adelaide St. Replacement buses will run.

     

  • From 11 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 7, until 4 a.m. on Mon., Nov. 10, 506/306 Carlton streetcar service will be replaced by buses along Gerrard St. E. between Parliament St. and Coxwell Ave. during TTC infrastructure work at Gerrard St. E. and Leslie St.

 

Monday to Friday – Early nightly closures between Kipling and Islington stations

Mon., Nov. 10, through Fri., Nov. 14, subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Kipling and Islington stations will end nightly at 12 a.m. for planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers with accessibility needs can also take the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle buses which operates between Kipling and High Park stations.

Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance at Royal York Station. Islington Station is not accessible. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

All subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
