Upcoming planned subway closures and service adjustments
This Sun., Jun. 1 only, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between St George and Chester stations will be replaced by shuttle buses between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. during beam replacement taking place on the Prince Edward Viaduct. Regular subway service will resume by 11 a.m.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the shuttle route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open during the closure for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Monday to Thursday – Early nightly subway closure between Finch and Eglinton stations
Mon., Jun. 2 through Thurs., Jun. 5, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Finch and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned tunnel maintenance work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Lawrence and North York Centre stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
Construction
- From 8 p.m. on Fri., May 30 until 11:59 p.m. on Sun., Jun. 1, the 13 Avenue Road will divert to accommodate a crane lift. Buses will redirect onto Davenport Rd., Bay St., and Bloor St.
- From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sat., May 31, the 161 Rogers Road will redirect from Dovercourt Rd. between Hallam St. and Bloor St. to accommodate a crane lift. Buses will run on Hallam St., Ossington Ave. North Humberland St., and Concord Ave, to Ossington Station.
Events
- Starting at 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sat., May 31, the 19 Bay route will divert onto University Ave. between Queen St. and King St. to accommodate a movie shoot at Bay St. and Adelaide St.
- From 7:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Sat., May 31, the 505 Dundas streetcar route will divert onto College St. between Bay St. and Lansdowne Ave. during the We Walk UHNITED event taking place on Dundas St. Replacement buses will run.
- From 2 a.m. until approximately 8 a.m. on Sun., June 1, the 329 Dufferin Night buses will not enter the Exhibition grounds and will service stops as far south as Dufferin Gate Loop as a result of road closures during the Bike for Brain Health event. Customers may also experience delays throughout the day until 4 p.m. when travelling on the 91 Woodbine and 95 York Mills routes during the event.
