TTC to resume subway service between Broadview and Woodbine stations by 5 p.m. Sunday to accommodate Leafs fans travelling to and from the big game

The TTC is adjusting this Sunday's planned subway closure schedule to help fans travelling into the downtown core cheer on the Maple Leafs during Game 7 of the Stanley Cup round two playoffs at Scotiabank Arena.

On Sunday, the planned subway closure on Line 2 between Woodbine and Broadview stations will end early and subway service will resume by 5 p.m., ensuring fans have a seamless subway ride to and from the game.

Extra service for playoff series home game

The TTC is adding extra service to help fans get around the city quickly and safely. With Union Station just steps away from the Scotiabank Arena, taking the TTC is the fastest and most eco-friendly way to travel. Extra subway trains will run along on Line 1 Yonge-University, and additional TTC staff will be on site at Union Station to assist customers, answer questions, and manage crowds, ensuring a smooth experience for all travelers.

If travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will also get you to and from the game.

The TTC anticipates a high volume of fans in the downtown core tonight and advises customers that some streets may be closed, resulting in potential route diversions. To stay informed about any last-minute service changes, customers are encouraged to follow @TTCnotices on X for up-to-date information.
