Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments
This Sat., Jun. 7, and Sun., Jun. 8, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Woodbine and Broadview stations to accommodate planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the shuttle route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Chester Station will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open during the closure for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Monday to Thursday – Early nightly subway closure between Finch and Eglinton stations
Mon., Jun. 9, through Thurs., Jun. 12, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Finch and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for planned tunnel maintenance.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Lawrence and North York Centre stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
Construction
Until 5 a.m. on Sat., Jul. 26, the 106 Sentinel is diverting to accommodate city work along Sentinel Rd. between Lamberton Blvd. and Streamdale Ct. Buses are running along Keele St., Broadoaks Dr. and Hucknall Rd.
From 9 p.m. on Fri., Jun. 6 until 5 a.m. on Tues. Jun. 10, the 72 Pape will divert to accommodate road reconstruction at Lakeshore Blvd. and Carlaw Ave.
Starting on Sat., Jun. 7 at 7 a.m., until Sun., Jun. 8 at 7 p.m., the 161 Rogers Road will divert onto Ossington Ave. between Hallam St. and Ossington Station to accommodate a crane lift.
From 11 p.m. on Fri., Jun. 6, until 4 a.m. on Mon., Jun. 9, 510/310 Spadina streetcars will operate from Spadina Station to Spadina Ave. and Queens Quay to accommodate TTC infrastructure work in the Harbourfront Tunnel. 509B Harbourfront buses will be extended and will run to Union Station.
Events
From 10 a.m. on Fri., Jun. 6 until 1 a.m. on Mon., Jun. 9, the 505 Dundas route will divert onto College St. between Lansdowne Ave. and Ossington Ave. during the Do West Fest taking place on Dundas St. During the event, customers travelling on the 29 Dufferin, 47 Lansdowne and 63 Ossington may experience delays as a result of road closures in the area.
From 5 a.m. on Sat., Jun. 7 until 1 a.m. on Sun., Jun. 8, the 501 Queen and 507 Long Branch streetcar routes will be replaced by buses between Humber Loop and Long Branch Loop during the Lakeshore Village Grilled Cheese Challenge.
On Sat., Jun. 7 from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., the following routes will divert during the Ride to Conquer Cancer:
- 15 Evans
- 48 Rathburn
- 80 Queensway
- 112 West Mall
- 123 Sherway
Between 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Jun. 7, the 13 Avenue Road, 19 Bay and 94 Wellesley bus routes will divert to accommodate the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women. Customers may experience delays while travelling on the 506 Carlton and 510 Spadina routes during the event.
From 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sat., Jun. 7, the 47 Lansdowne, 63 Ossington and 512 St Clair routes will divert during the Portugal Day Parade along St. Clair Ave. W.
On Sat., Jun. 7 from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., the 116 Morningside route will redirect from Guildwood Pkwy. onto Kingston Rd. and Galloway Rd. during the Guildwood Day Parade.
