TTC announces extra service for Honda Indy, advises customers of weekend service changes
Extra service for the Honda Indy
The TTC is adding extra service this Friday through Sunday on the 29 Dufferin, 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst routes during the Honda Indy. Extra TTC staff will also be on site at Exhibition Loop and Union Station to help customers navigate the area.
Line 1 – Full weekend closure between Lawrence West and St Andrew stations
This Sat., July 19 and Sun., July 20, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence West and St Andrew stations to accommodate planned track work and station upgrades.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the shuttle route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
