504 King replacement buses to resume service through Church intersection on Monday
Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, 504C and 504D/304D King replacement buses will resume service through the King St. E and Church St. intersection, as City of Toronto watermain replacement and TTC track renewal construction wrap up.
As of Aug. 18, 504C King replacement buses will operate along King St. between Bathurst St. and the Distillery. 504D/304D King replacement buses will operate along King St. between Bathurst St. and Gerrard St. and Broadview Ave.
Streetcars will continue to divert around the King and Church intersection as follows:
- Westbound 504 streetcars: From Queen St. E., south on Church St., west on Richmond St., north on York St., west on Queen St. W. south on Shaw St, west on King St. W. to regular routing
- Eastbound 504 streetcars: From King St. W., north on Shaw St., east on Queen St. W., south on York St., east on Adelaide St., north on Church St. and east on Queen St. E.
- Westbound 503/303 & 304 streetcars: From Queen St. E., south on Church St., west on Richmond St., north on York St., west on Queen St. W. south on Spadina Ave., west on King St. W. to regular routing
- Eastbound 503/303 & 304 streetcars: From King St. W., north on Spadina Ave., east on Queen St. W., south on York St., east on Adelaide St., north on Church St. and east on Queen St. E.
Customers can remain on a 504/304 King or 503/303 Kingston Rd streetcar, which will divert as noted above or board a 304D, 504C or 504D King replacement bus.
Wheel-Trans service will remain accessible in all areas where local traffic is permitted.
The TTC will be testing and commissioning the newly installed streetcar tracks over the next few weeks and will provide an update on the resumption of streetcar service at a later date.
