Upcoming subway closures and service diversions


Subway closures

 

Weekend closure – Line 1 – Finch to St Clair

 

This Sat., Nov. 4 and Sun., Nov. 5, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Finch and St Clair stations due to track work.

 

Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

 

North York Centre and Lawrence stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets and connect to surface routes.

 

At Sheppard-Yonge Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Poyntz Ave. and Anndale Dr. will be closed. At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Rd. entrance/exit will be closed.

 

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

Monday to Thursday – Line 1 early nightly closure – Sheppard-Yonge to Eglinton

 

Mon., Nov. 6, through Thurs., Nov. 9, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. due to track work.

 

Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

 

All subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets and connect to surface routes.

 

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.

 

Service diversions

 

Several bus and streetcar routes will be adjusting due to road closures, infrastructure repairs and construction.

 

  • 7 a.m. Fri., Nov. 3 until 7 a.m. Sun., Nov. 5, 108 Driftwood buses will be diverting between Yewtree Blvd. and Strong Crt., via Jane St. to accommodate Metrolinx construction of the Finch West LRT.

     

  • 9 p.m. Fri., Nov. 3 until 4 a.m. Mon., Nov. 6, 504 King streetcars will be diverting to accommodate streetcar infrastructure repairs along King St. W. Until 12 p.m. on Saturday, King streetcars will be diverting along Queen St. W. between Roncesvalles and Spadina avenues. From 12 p.m. Saturday, King streetcars will be diverting along Queen St. W. between Shaw St. and Spadina Ave. 504 King replacement buses will be operating along King St. W during these times.

     

  • 9 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 3 until 5 a.m. Mon., Nov. 6, 168 Symington and 300 Bloor-Danforth buses will be diverting due to road closures for Metrolinx bridge work on Bloor St. W. between Dundas St. W. and Symington Ave.

     

  • Sat., Nov. 5, between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 36 Finch West buses will be diverting between Kipling and Islington avenues, via Albion Rd., accommodating Metrolinx construction of the Finch West LRT.

     

  • Sat., Nov. 4 and Sun., Nov. 5, Lawrence Station will be closed to accommodate work on the TTC’s Easier Access Project. 52 Lawrence West routes, 124 Sunnybrook, and 162 Lawrence-Donway buses will be serving stops outside the station. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to bus boarding locations on Lawrence Ave.

     

  • Sun., Nov. 5, the bus bay at Coxwell Station will be closed to accommodate catch basin repairs. 22 Coxwell, 31 Greenwood, and 70 O’Connor buses will be serving stops outside the station. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to boarding locations on Strathmore Blvd.

     

  • Mon., Nov. 6 to Fri., Dec. 15, 300 Bloor-Danforth westbound buses will divert, accommodating road reconstruction work on Bloor St. W. between Avenue Rd. and Spadina Ave.
