Upcoming subway closures and weekend diversions


This Sun., July 9 only, service on Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will begin by noon to accommodate beam replacement on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.

 

Shuttle buses will operate. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

 

Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for customers to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets, or connect to surface routes.

 

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

Weekend events and road closures

 

The TTC is the best way to and from events happening in the city this weekend. Some diversions will be in place to accommodate street festivals and road closures.

 

Today, until 1 a.m. Mon., July 10, the 54/354 Lawrence East will divert between Birchmount Rd. and Warden Ave. to accommodate Taste of Lawrence.

 

From 8 a.m. Sat., July 8, until 11 p.m. Sun., July 9, the 512 St Clair and 312 St Clair-Junction, will divert between Christie St. and Oakwood Ave., for Salsa on St Clair.

 

And, starting 7 a.m., July 8, until 3 p.m., July 9, the 94 Wellesley will divert due to a road closure on Harbord St.

 

Wednesday – Friday

 

Wed., July 12 and Thurs., July 13, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between St Clair and York Mills stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate track work. On Fri., July 14, subway service between St Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations will also end at 11 p.m. for track work.

 

Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

 

Lawrence Station will close at 11 p.m. on Wed., July 12 and Fri. July 14. All other stations will remain open for customers to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO tickets and connect to surface routes.

 

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
