Upcoming TTC subway closures and weekend diversions

There are no scheduled subway closures on the TTC this weekend. However, several events taking place in the city this weekend will result in adjustments to TTC service.

On Sat., April 29, the 29 Dufferin will be diverting from 5 - 10:30 p.m. to accommodate road closures for the TFC game.

On Sun., April 30, the 19 Bay will be diverting from 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. and the 29 Dufferin will be diverting from 12 - 2 p.m. to accommodate the Khalsa Day Parade. Customers may experience delays on the 501 Queen, 504 King, 505 Dundas and 509 Harbourfront due to this event.

Also on Sun., April 30, the 13 Avenue Rd, 19 Bay and 94 Wellesley will be diverting from 7 -10:30 a.m. to accommodate the Bum Run.

Monday to Thursday

Mon., May 1, through to Thurs., May 4, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Woodbine and Kennedy stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

At Victoria Park Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Teesdale Place will be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at the station. All stations will remain open for customers to load their PRESTO card or purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.

In addition, beginning Tues., May 2, through to Thurs., May 4, the 510 Spadina will be diverting nightly from 12:01 – 4 a.m. due to tunnel maintenance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.

501 diversion beginning May 1

The TTC is reminding customers that effective Mon., May 1, there will be changes to bus and streetcar service along Queen Street to accommodate construction of the new Ontario Line connection at Queen Station.

The 501 Queen streetcar will divert both ways between McCaul St. and Broadview Ave. via Dundas St. A temporary new 501B bus branch will be created to minimize the impact on customers travelling through the downtown core along Queen.
