TTC to host Halloween fundraiser in Bay Lower Station

This weekend, Sat., Oct. 29 and Sun., Oct. 30, the TTC will be hosting Halloween Fest, a spooky fundraiser at Bay Lower Station to raise much-needed funds for United Way of Greater Toronto.

Halloween Fest is a family-friendly event for all ages and will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days, with the last entrance each day at 4 p.m.

Attendees can enter through the Cumberland street level automatic entrance on the south side of Cumberland St., west of Bay St. For an accessible connection to activities on Bay Station’s concourse level, attendees should use the Cumberland Terrace elevator and ramp, located at 2 Bloor St. W. Please note that activities in Bay Lower Station are only accessible by stairs.

The festivities will include an opportunity to trick-or-treat for nut-free candies on a Halloween-themed subway train (costumes optional), free giveaways for kids, a chance to learn about the TTC’s celebrity appearances in movies, TV shows and music videos, as well as historical facts about the TTC.

Attendees can also purchase TTC-themed merchandise, search for hidden gems at the garage sale, and see if they can catch a glimpse of the Lady in Red – a ghost who has been rumoured to haunt the station.

Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 years and under (cash preferred).
