Portion of TTC Line 2 to close early next Mon.-Fri.

Mon., May 9 through Fri., May 13, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Broadview and Woodbine stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track upgrades.

Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

Chester Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.

At Pape Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Lipton Ave. will be closed. Customers should use the main entrance/exit at the station.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.

Weekend service changes reminder

Several events taking place in the city this weekend will result in adjustments to TTC service. Customers can check https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/Weekend-service-adjustments and @TTCNotices for the most up-to-date service information.

Customers planning to visit the cherry blossoms at High Park over the next few days are encouraged to plan their trip in advance. The best routes to travel to High Park are Line 2, 30 High Park, 189 Stockyards bus routes and the 504 King streetcar route. As High Park Station is not yet accessible, customers using a mobility device or bringing a stroller should exit at Keele Station or Runnymede Station and board a 504 King replacement bus or a Wheel-Trans bus to High Park and Bloor Street.
