TTC Service Updates


Canada Day

 

This Canada Day, customers are encouraged to take the TTC to travel to and from their events safely. On Fri., July 1, the TTC will be running on a holiday service schedule.

 

Ashbridges Bay Park

 

The TTC will be increasing service on the 22 Coxwell, 92 Woodbine South and 501 Queen to accommodate those travelling to and from Ashbridges Bay Park for the Canada Day fireworks display on Friday. Dedicated shuttle buses will also operate between Woodbine and Coxwell subway stations both ways via Woodbine Ave., Lake Shore Blvd. East and Coxwell Ave. Additional TTC personnel will also be on site to help direct customers to the appropriate boarding locations.

 

Downsview Park

 

Customers attending Canada Day celebrations at Downsview Park can take Line 1 to Downsview Park Station, but should note that the 101 Downsview Park route will be suspended from 3 p.m. – 11:59 p.m. on Canada Day. 

 

Mel Lastman Square

 

The 97 Yonge will be diverting from 11 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. on July 1, to accommodate the Canada Day celebrations at Mel Lastman Square. Those travelling to and from the festivities can use the conveniently located North York Centre Station on Line 1.

 

East York Canada Day Parade

 

The 70 O’Connor, 87 Cosburn, 91 Woodbine and 93 Parkview Hills will be diverting between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to accommodate the East York Canada Day Parade.

 

The 36 Finch West and 39 Finch East will also be diverting on July 1, from 4 a.m. – 11 a.m., to accommodate a crane lift on Finch Ave. East.

This weekend

This Sat., July 2 and Sun., July 3, there will be no
subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations due to continued track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run and TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. 

While all stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes, some entrances/exits will be closed temporarily.

 

At High Park Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Parkview Gardens will be closed. At Keele Station, the Indian Grove automatic entrance/exit will be closed. At Lansdowne Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Emerson Ave. will be closed. At Dufferin Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Russett Ave. will also be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at each subway station.

 

Monday – Wednesday

 

Mon., July 4 through Wed., July 6, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to allow crews to continue working on the track. Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route.

 

TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. All stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets, or connect to surface routes; however, the same exits/entrances will be closed temporarily.

 

At High Park Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Parkview Gardens will be closed. At Keele Station, the Indian Grove automatic entrance/exit will be closed. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.
