Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early next Mon - Thurs

Mon., Sept. 13 through Thurs., Sept. 16, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Spadina and King stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track work.

Shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

Museum, Queen's Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card or purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.

As the Line 1 portion of Spadina Station is not yet accessible, customers travelling southbound on the University side of Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at Dupont Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance.

As King Station is not yet accessible, customers travelling southbound on the Yonge side of Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at Queen Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance.

Nightly single-track operation

Between midnight and 6 a.m. on Mon. Sept. 13 through Thurs. Sept. 16, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Pioneer Village stations will operate on a single line. Trains will alternate use of the southbound tracks to accommodate leak remediation work on the northbound tracks.

Customers will board northbound trains on the southbound side of the platforms and may experience slightly longer than normal wait and travel times.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.
