Upcoming TTC Subway Closures


Saturday

This Sat., May 29 only, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Eglinton and King stations due to ATC signal upgrades.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. The University side of Line 1 and the 97 Yonge bus will also be available as alternatives.

Summerhill, College and Queen stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 2.

As King Station is not yet accessible, customers travelling northbound on the Yonge side of Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at Union Station and see any TTC customer service employee for assistance.

Sunday

This Sun., May 30 only, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard-Yonge and Bloor-Yonge stations due to ATC signal upgrades.

Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. In addition to the shuttles, the University side of Line 1 and the 97 Yonge bus will be available as alternatives during the closure.

Summerhill Station will be closed. All others will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Lines 2 and 4.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Rd. entrance/exit will be closed. At Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Ranleigh Ave. and Bedford Park Ave. will also be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at each subway station.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Monday to Thursday

Mon. May 31 through Thurs. June 3, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for subway maintenance.

Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

North York Centre Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 4.

At Sheppard-Yonge Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Yonge St. and Poyntz Ave. and at Yonge St. and Anndale Dr. will be closed. At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Rd. entrance/exit will be closed. At Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances/exits at Ranleigh Ave. and Bedford Park Ave. will also be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at each subway station.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.
