Upcoming TTC Subway Closures

Saturday

This Sat., Aug. 14 only, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard West and St Clair West stations due to track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route, with the exception of Yorkdale Station. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the Yonge side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

Yorkdale and Glencairn stations will be closed. All others will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

The TTC will provide a special shuttle bus to and from Lawrence West Station to accommodate customers travelling to Yorkdale Mall. Customers can board the Yorkdale Express shuttle on Lawrence Ave. W. outside Lawrence West Station. From Yorkdale Mall, customers can board the shuttle on the service road opposite the Yorkdale Station entrance.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Monday to Thursday

Mon., Aug. 16 through Thurs., Aug. 19, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard West and St Clair West stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

Yorkdale Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternate routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
