TTC to host vaccination clinics at Main Street and Victoria Park stations

From August 24 to 26, the TTC will host vaccination clinics at its Main Street and Victoria Park stations in partnership with East Toronto Health Partners. These clinics are open to TTC customers, employees and members of the public.

“As part of our plan to increase vaccine uptake and to make the vaccines as accessible as possible, we have been working with our Team Toronto partners across the city to bring the vaccines directly to people. These clinics at TTC stations are an excellent way to help make sure people have every opportunity to get vaccinated,” said Mayor John Tory. “I want to thank the TTC for helping host these clinics to help protect people and the progress we have made fighting the pandemic. I encourage unvaccinated residents to get their vaccine at one of these subway stations this week.”

“Increasing vaccination rates is critical to our ongoing fight against COVID-19,” said TTC Chair Jaye Robinson. “I encourage anyone who lives or works in the vicinity of these stations to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to receive a vaccine while going about their daily commute.”

“By hosting these clinics at our stations, we’re providing an option for those who have not yet received a first or second vaccination to do so at a convenient location,” said TTC CEO Rick Leary. “With COVID case numbers rising, it’s important that everyone who is able to get vaccinated do so as soon as possible, so that we can put this pandemic behind us.”

The clinics run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, while supplies last, and will be offering first and second doses to everyone born in 2009 or earlier (turning 12 or older this year). No appointments are required, and both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.

At Main Street Station, the clinic will be located at Stanley Grizzle Park, 326 Main St., across from the station. At Victoria Park Station, the clinic will be in the mezzanine area of the station. Customers who leave the station to access the clinic will be permitted free re-entry by showing their vaccine sticker or receipt.
