TTC to celebrate its 100th anniversary


On Sept. 1, 2021, the TTC will celebrate its 100th anniversary. In honour of this milestone occasion, the TTC will be hosting a media event. Details are as follows:

Date: Wed., Sept. 1, 2021
Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Roncesvalles Carhouse (20 The Queensway, Toronto, ON, M6R 1B4)

The event will include remarks from Mayor John Tory, TTC CEO Rick Leary and event host, TTC Chair Jaye Robinson. There will also be a ceremonial streetcar ride and historical vehicles on site. Some of the TTC's longest-standing employees will be in attendance and available for interviews.

Public Health guidelines and social distancing restrictions will be adhered to at the event, as per local and provincial recommendations.  Guests in attendance will be required to complete COVID self-assessment forms upon arrival. Masks and hand sanitizing will be available.

As space will be limited due to COVID restrictions, members of the media who are interested in attending the event are asked to please RSVP to media@ttc.ca by 3 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2021.
