Subway service to end early on portion of TTC Line 1 Monday to Thursday next week

Mon., May 25 through Thurs., May 28, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and Bloor-Yonge stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. In addition to the shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

Summerhill Station will be closed but all others will remain open for PRESTO fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 2.

Customers requiring Wheel-Trans can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance. As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, all accessible connections should be made via York Mills Station instead.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
