Portions of TTC Lines 1 and 2 to close this weekend

This weekend, Sat., May 30 and Sun., May 31, the portion of Line 1 between Finch and Eglinton stations will be closed for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. In addition to the shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives.

North York Centre Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for the purchase of PRESTO fares and connection to surface routes and Line 4.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Rd. entrance will be closed. Customers are advised to use the other station entrances located in the York Mills Centre, Yonge Corporate Centre, and at the corner of Yonge St. and Wilson Ave.

At Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances at Ranleigh Ave. and Bedford Park Ave. will also be closed. Customers are advised to use the entrances at Yonge St. and Lawrence Ave.

Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Sunday

This Sun., May 31 only, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will begin at noon to allow for beam replacement on the Prince Edward Viaduct. The TTC will be taking advantage of this closure to perform track work simultaneously.

Sherbourne and Bay stations will be closed until noon but all others will remain open for PRESTO fare sales and access to surface routes and Line 1. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.
