No subway service on portion of TTC Line 2 this weekend

This weekend, Sat., Aug. 1 and Sun., Aug. 2, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations due to track work. Service resumes Monday at 6 a.m., operating on a Holiday Schedule.

Replacement shuttle buses will run frequently, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

Bay, Sherbourne and Chester stations will be closed. The automatic entrance/exit at Pape Station on Lipton Ave. will also be closed. All other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Customers requiring Wheel-Trans should speak to any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
