Portion of TTC Line 1 closed for track, signal work this weekend

TTC crews will carry out extensive track and ATC signal upgrades and improvements this weekend. As a result there will be no subway service on Line 1 between Finch and St Clair stations on Sat., August 22 and Sun., August 23.

Shuttle buses will operate. Customers are reminded that face coverings are mandatory while riding the TTC.

North York Centre and Davisville stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for the purchase of PRESTO fares and connection to Line 4 and surface routes.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Road entrance will be closed. Customers are advised to use the other station entrances located in the York Mills Centre, Yonge Corporate Centre, and at the corner of Yonge Street and Wilson Avenue.

At Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue will also be closed. Customers are advised to use the entrances at Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
