Portion of TTC Line 2 to close this weekend
This weekend, Sat., Oct. 12 and Sun., Oct. 13, the portion of Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations will be closed for track work.
Shuttle buses will run along Bloor St. and Danforth Ave., stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations, which will vary from station to station. Bay, Chester and Sherbourne stations will be closed, but all other stations will remain open for access to Line 1, surface routes and fare sales.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
Parking restrictions
To reduce congestion and help improve travel times on Danforth Ave. during the subway closure, parking will be temporarily restricted near key intersections:
- Broadview Ave./Danforth Ave.
- Chester Ave./Danforth Ave.
- Pape Ave./Danforth Ave.
- Donlands Ave./Danforth Ave.
- Linnsmore Cres./Danforth Ave.
- Coxwell Ave./Danforth Ave.
- Woodbine Ave./Danforth Ave.
Parking restrictions will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Saturday to 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, and from 7:30 a.m. on Sunday to 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

Parking restrictions along Danforth Ave. will be enforced from 11 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. nightly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.
