Portions of TTC Lines 1 and 2 to close this weekend

This weekend, Sat., Nov. 30 and Sun., Dec. 1, the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations will be closed to allow Metrolinx crews to continue work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Replacement shuttle buses will run along Yonge St., stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle loading and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use York Mills Station instead.

Line 2

Also, this Sunday only, the portion of Line 2 between Warden and Kennedy stations will be closed for track maintenance.

Replacement shuttle buses will run between the two stations and TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations. Both stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the closure. As Warden is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use Victoria Park station instead.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
