Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early next Mon-Thurs

Next week, the portion of the TTC's Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and St Andrew stations will close at 11 p.m. nightly from Mon., Mar. 25 through Thurs., Mar. 28. Early closures enable the TTC to continue to expedite the modernization of its ATC signalling system.

Shuttle buses will run frequently and stop outside all affected stations and Wheel-Trans will provide service to customers requiring accessible connections.

Wellesley Station will close at 11 p.m. but all other stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

This weekend:

The TTC is reminding customers that tomorrow, Sat., Mar. 23 only, the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations will be closed to allow crews to perform important track upgrades and maintenance and ATC signal upgrades.

Shuttle buses will run frequently along Yonge St., stopping at each station along the route.

The TTC recommends that customers use the 97 Yonge bus, in addition to the University side of Line 1, as alternatives during the closure.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use York Mills Station instead.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
