TTC closures this weekend
This Sat., Aug. 17 only, there will be no service on Line 3 due to track work. Also this weekend, two different portions of Line 1, one on each day, will be opening later than usual to enable TTC crews to perform scheduled maintenance and continue installation of the Automatic Train Control (ATC) signaling system.
Saturday
Line 3 - Kennedy, Lawrence East and Scarborough Centre stations will remain open on Saturday for fare sales and access to surface routes. Ellesmere, Midland and McCowan stations will be closed until Sunday morning. TTC staff will be on hand at each affected station to help direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations. There will be no shuttle service to or from McCowan Station.
Line 1 - The portion of Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and Osgoode stations will be closed until noon. All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes. TTC staff will be on hand to help direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations.
Replacement shuttle buses will run throughout both Saturday closures and Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
Sunday
Line 1 - The portion of Line 1 between Sheppard West and Wilson stations will be closed until noon. Both stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency. Please note that Wilson Station is not yet accessible.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.
