Part of TTC’s Line 1 closing early Monday to Thursday nights

Starting tonight, the TTC is closing Line 1 Yonge-University in the downtown core between Spadina and St Andrew stations at 11 p.m. each evening through Thurs., Nov. 8. These early closures will allow the TTC to continue work on implementing Automatic Train Control as well as for state of good repair work. Additional early week night closings are also planned for next spring.

The TTC has revised its service plan and shuttle buses will now run throughout these weeknight closures, stopping at all stations along the route. The TTC, however, encourages customers to consider using alternatives, including the Yonge side of Line 1, the 510 Spadina, 511 Bathurst and other local streetcar/bus service. Wheel-Trans will provide service to customers requiring accessible connections from any station.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter, sign up for eAlerts or visit www.ttc.ca.
