TTC named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers

Today, TTC Acting CEO Rick Leary and Chief People Officer Gemma Piemontese proudly accepted an award recognizing the TTC as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers from the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers competition.

The award recognizes TTC's achievements in promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in all corporate policies, programs and services.  In aligning TTC's diversity and inclusion program with the People Objective of its inaugural Five-Year Corporate Plan, the TTC has made tremendous progress in fostering an empowered, customer-focused workforce and actively developing its 15,000 diverse and talented employees.

"The TTC is committed to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion to reflect and respond to the needs of our workforce," said TTC Acting CEO Rick Leary. "To be treated with respect and dignity is a cornerstone of the TTC's Employee Charter and Respect and Dignity Policy. We are truly honoured to receive this acknowledgement."

Canada's Best Diversity Employers competition recognizes leaders that create inclusive workplaces for employees, by cultivating diversity of thought and creating an environment in which individuals have an equal opportunity to contribute, advance, and voice their opinions and perspectives.
