TTC employees to wear jerseys to honour Humboldt Broncos

Tomorrow, Thurs., Apr. 12, all TTC employees will be permitted to participate in Jersey Day, a cross-Canada show of support for all who were touched by last week’s tragic bus crash involving Saskatchewan’s Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team.

Customers may see operators and station employees wearing team jerseys over their uniforms in support of the initiative. In the event of an emergency, all employees will remove their jerseys so they are easily identifiable to customers and other staff.

Uniformed supervisors, as well Special Constables and Fare Inspectors, will not participate in Jersey Day, wearing their uniforms as usual. They may, however, wear a green ribbon as a show of support.

For more information about Jersey Day, visit the event’s Facebook page or follow #jerseysforhumboldt on Twitter and Instagram.
