TTC one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers
Today, TTC CEO Andy Byford and Chief People Officer Gemma Piemontese proudly accepted an award recognizing the TTC as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers.
The award acknowledges the progress the TTC has made in achieving the People objective of its Five-Year Corporate Plan, which strives to foster an empowered, customer-focused workforce and be an organization that actively develops its more than 14,000 employees.
To be recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers, the TTC was evaluated using eight criteria:
1. Physical workplace
2. Work atmosphere and social
3. Health, financial and family benefits
4. Vacation and time off
5. Employee communications
6. Performance management
7. Training and skills development
8. Community involvement
“To win this award at the culmination of our five-year plan is a real honour,” said TTC CEO Andy Byford. “At the TTC,we have developed programs and a refreshed culture that enables our employees to deliver their best every day.
