TTC celebrates Scarborough street mural on January Metropass

For its first Metropass of 2018, the TTC is celebrating the art of @Omen514 and his piece honouring the history of Scarborough Junction.

The mural was painted in 2014 and was one of the first City of Toronto StreetARToronto Underpass Program (StART UP) projects. The artist worked with Toronto-based arts organization Mural Routes and local Councillor Michelle Holland to ensure the design met community consultation standards.

The January pass is the first in a planned series of Metropasses profiling the numerous street art projects around Toronto that are an integral part of the urban streetscape.

The January Metropass is available now through Jan. 5, 2018.

The TTC reminds customers that monthly passes are also available on PRESTO and prices in 2018 will be unchanged from 2017 at $146.25 for adults, and $116.75 for seniors (65+), students (13-19) and post-secondary students with valid ID.

There are no fare increases in 2018.
