TTC 2016 Public Forum on Accessible Transit this Thursday
The TTC invites the public and media to attend the annual Public Forum on Accessible Transit.
In addition to updates on TTC accessibility, attendees will hear about Wheel-Trans’ 10-Year Strategy that is being developed in response for the need to:
- Offer our customers spontaneity of travel
- Be inclusive and a part of the community
- Help ensure and foster dignity
- Expand our customers’ travel opportunities
- Improve customer service.
The strategy also addresses new legislative requirements contained with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and recommendations provided by the City of Toronto Auditor General.
TTC staff and members of the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) will be available, one-on-one, to hear feedback from customers before the start of the public forum.
