City work on Bloor Viaduct closes portion of TTC Line 2 this weekend

This long weekend, Oct. 8-10, there will be no TTC subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Pape and St George stations to accommodate the City of Toronto’s concrete structural work on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.

Shuttle buses will operate between Pape and St George stations frequently throughout the weekend, stopping at all subway stations.  To provide a faster trip for customers, shuttle buses will not service local stops between subway stations and there will be no parking on either side of Bloor St. and Danforth Ave. between the affected stations.

Regular subway service resumes Tues., Oct. 11 at 6 a.m.

In addition, on Sun., Oct. 9, Line 4 Sheppard will be closed until 2 p.m. to allow for special track maintenance in advance of the start of one-person train operation. Shuttle buses will operate between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills stations.

Wheel-Trans buses will be available for customers requiring accessible transit during both subway closures. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member to request the service.

The next three scheduled subway closures are:

  • Line 1 Yonge-University: St George to Lawrence West – Oct. 15-16
  • Line 1: Finch to Lawrence – Oct. 22-23
  • Line 1: St George to Lawrence West – Oct. 29-30
