TTC track work on Line 2 this weekend

This Saturday only (April 2), a portion of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations will close as TTC crews replace 900 ft. of rail. Shuttle buses will operate and regular service will resume Sunday morning.

Up to 900 ft. of heavily worn rail between Warden and Kennedy Stations is being replaced to ensure a safe and reliable track system. Crews will take advantage of the closure time to complete other work in the area, including snaking and drain flushing for plumbing west of Kennedy Station at the Massey Creek exit, and required maintenance in open areas between the affected stations.

TTC staff will be on-site at all affected stations to assist customers throughout the day.

The next three scheduled subway closures are:

- April 9-10 – Line 2, Christie to Jane stations - shuttle buses will run between Bathurst and Jane stations

- April 16-17 – Line 1 (Yonge-University), St. George to Lawrence West stations

- April 17 – Line 2, St. George to Pape stations: late opening – service will begin by 12 noon

More information on upcoming closures is available at ttc.ca.
