TTC welcomes fans to NBA All-Star 2016

Starting this Friday, and continuing until Sunday, Feb. 14, the TTC will have transit ambassadors at several subway stations to welcome and assist customers and spectators during the NBA All-Star 2016 festival and game.

To reach the Air Canada Centre, use Line 1 to Union Station. For fans attending events at Exhibition Place, use the 511 Bathurst southbound from Bathurst Station, the 509 Harbourfront from Union Station or the 29 Dufferin southbound from Dufferin Station. Those taking the 509 or 511 streetcars will need to transfer to a bus to continue on to Exhibition Place due to ongoing track and construction work at Exhibition loop.

Festivities will require the 6 Bay bus to divert this weekend from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It will use Adelaide and Richmond Sts. via Yonge St. and Queens Quay.

To make travel more affordable, customers can purchase a TTC Group Pass for just $12 a day. The pass provides unlimited one day travel for a group of up to six people, maximum two adults and not more than four youths 19 years of age or under. Children 12 years of age or under ride for free. The pass is valid from the start of service until 5:30 a.m. the next day. Passes can be purchased at any subway station or on a smartphone using the TTCconnect app on iOS or Android devices. The Group Pass is available on Saturday, Sunday and also this Monday, Family Day.
