TTC to conduct emergency simulation at Don Mills Station

The TTC will conduct an emergency simulation at Don Mills Station on Sun., Feb. 28 from 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

As the TTC continues to improve safety for its customers and employees, it also conducts emergency exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency planning, existing procedures, equipment and training.

The scenario involves an emergency response to evacuate a train near an emergency exit, while maintaining operations elsewhere in the transit system. White, non-toxic theatrical smoke will be used during the simulation. The smoke will be visible from subway ventilation shafts.

The exercise is not open to the public.

Subway service on Line 4 will begin as normal Sunday morning at 8 a.m.
