TTC’s 506 Carlton diverting for overhead wire work this weekend

This weekend, Sept. 19-20, TTC electrical crews will re-string new overhead streetcar wires at the intersection of Parliament St. and Gerrard St. E. As a result of this work, the 506 Carlton streetcar will divert as follows:

- Eastbound: east on Carlton St., south on Church St., east on Dundas St., north on Parliament St., east on Gerrard St. to route.
- Westbound: west on Gerrard St., south on Parliament St., west on Dundas St., north on Church St., west on Carlton St. to route.

Replacement buses will operate through the area to connect with the streetcar service.

506 Carlton replacement bus eastbound routing:
- East on College St., east on Carlton St., south on Parliament St., east on Gerrard St., south on Broadview Ave., west on Dundas St., north on River St., west on Gerrard St., to westbound routing.

506 Carlton replacement bus westbound routing:
- West on Gerrard St., north on Parliament St., west on Carlton St., west on College St., south on Elizabeth St., west on Elm St., north on University Ave., east on College St. to eastbound routing.

Also this weekend, buses will replace streetcars between St Clair and St Clair West stations until 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday to allow for maintenance work at St Clair Station.
