More TTC service improvements starting Sunday

The TTC is increasing service and improving reliability at off-peak times on many bus and streetcar routes starting Sun., Oct. 11 as part of Toronto City Council’s $95 million investment in TTC service earlier this year. Further improvements will follow in November.

More routes with all-day, every-day service
These routes will have service increases so they operate all day, every day. This represents a $5.5 million annual expenditure. There are now more than 125 bus and streetcar routes with all-day, every-day service.

- 39B Finch East
- 199 Finch Rocket
- 72 Pape
- 167 Pharmacy North

Ten-minute-or-better service network
These routes will have service increases so that they operate every 10 minutes or better, all day, every day at a cost of $11.3 million annually.

- 52 Lawrence West
- 102 Markham Rd
- 86C Scarborough
- 53B Steeles East
- 60 Steeles West
- 165 Weston Rd North
- 96 Wilson

Reduced off-peak crowding
These routes will have service increases at off-peak times to reduce crowding and waiting times which will cost $9.9 million annually.

Expanded Blue Night Network
There will be six new or revised overnight routes, completing the expansion of overnight routes for this year. The overnight network now consists of 31 routes, up from 25 at a cost of $2.4 million annually.
