TTC subway signal upgrade this weekend

This weekend, on Sat., June 6 and Sun., June 7, there will be no service on Line 1 between Bloor and York Mills stations as crews upgrade the Toronto Transit Commission’s 60 year-old signal system, as part of the TTC’s commitment to modernization. This necessary signal work will result in a more reliable service.

Frequent replacement buses will operate between Bloor and York Mills stations. Wheel-Trans buses will be available to accommodate customers who use wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility aids.

Alternate routes to the subway service on Line 1 include:

- 96 Wilson from York Mills Station to Wilson Station
- 52 Lawrence West from Lawrence Station to Lawrence West Station
- 32 Eglinton West bus from Eglinton Station to Eglinton West Station
- 512 St Clair streetcar from St Clair Station to St Clair West Station

The commuter parking lot at York Mills Station will be closed both Saturday and Sunday.

Regular subway service resumes on Mon., June 8, at 6 a.m.
