TTC subway service resumes on Line 2

The Toronto Transit Commission advises that subway service has been restored between Ossington and Keele stations on Line 2.

Just before 8 a.m., debris was noticed in the tunnel near Dundas West Station. The damage to the tunnel was from work being done by a contractor for Metrolinx. A workcar was sent to the site and TTC work crews patched the hole, allowing for the resumption of service. More work will take place in the tunnel when the subway closes for the night.  The tunnel is safe; however, trains will be on a restricted speed zone of 15 km between Lansdowne and Dundas West stations.

The TTC thanks customers for their patience and understanding throughout the day.
