TTC Queen streetcars to resume service through Victoria Street

The Toronto Transit Commission's 501/301 Queen streetcars will resume service along Queen Street, servicing  Osgoode and Queen subway stations in both directions starting at 7:00 p.m., on Saturday May 31. Northbound and southbound access to Victoria Street will remain closed until June 7.

The intersection of Queen Street East and Leslie Street is closed until June 21 as replacement of an 80-year-old water main and installation of new streetcar tracks connecting to the Leslie Barns - the storage and maintenance facility being built to house Toronto's new low-floor streetcars - continues. The 501/301 Queen streetcar is diverting north on Coxwell, west on Gerrard, south on Broadview, and then west on Queen to its normal routing.

The replacement 501/502/503 bus service on Queen Street East will continue to terminate at Church Street. After June 7, when Victoria Street re-opens in all directions, buses will travel to Victoria Street, getting those customers closer to Queen Station.
