TTC riders, blogTO readers to decide their favourite transit app

The Toronto Transit Commission and blogTO would like everyone to exercise their democratic right and vote … for their favourite transit app.

The jointly-sponsored contest is now live on blogTO. Earlier this year, blogTO and the TTC began the process of identifying candidates best-suited for both iPhone and Android users. The top three nominees are (in alphabetical order):

MOOVIT
ROCKETMAN
TRANSITAPP

The public may cast their vote at www.blogto.com/ttc-app/ . The last day of voting is July 13.

The winning app, to be announced on July 14, will be promoted by the TTC on its website as the TTC/blogTO transit app winner.

Last December, former TTC Chair Karen Stintz proposed that the TTC undertake a transit app contest to help improve customer knowledge of self-serve opportunities with third-party mobile apps using TTC open data.
