TTC raises big bucks for the United Way

TTC employees and pensioners raised $859,491.86 for the United Way of Toronto this year. Subway  pizza sales, employee payroll deductions, and dozens of staff events helped raise much-needed money for the TTC’s 2013 United Way campaign.

"I am so proud of the entire TTC United Way team that has once again raised a huge amount for people less fortunate than ourselves,” said TTC CEO Andy Byford.

“Special thanks to wonderful campaign Chair and Vice Chair, Kathy Wyeth and Nancy Whitford and to Manny Sforza and Paul Macedo from ATU Local 113 who led the joint effort. Well done everyone, great job and see you at our 2014 campaign!"

A cheque was presented today to the United Way by representatives from TTC management and unions.
