TTC holds next town hall June 9

The Toronto Transit Commission will hold its next town hall on Saturday, June 9 from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Scarborough Civic Centre, a short walk from Scarborough Centre Station on the Scarborough Rapid Transit Line.

The first half hour, from 12:30-1 p.m., will feature information areas in the Rotunda where the public can get more information about specific TTC initiatives and operational matters, as well as speak one-on-one with TTC staff.

The public forum will start promptly at 1 p.m. People can ask questions, make comments or offer suggestions for improvement at the TTC. Senior TTC staff will be there to listen and address issues as they arise, hearing from as many members of the public as possible in the two hours allotted.

As seating is limited, admittance is first-come, first-seated. The TTC will be following up on questions and comments via Twitter – please use the hashtag #TTCtownhall. ASL interpretation and closed-captioning will also be available at the meeting. Rogers Television will be taping the meeting for broadcast on June 17 at 5 p.m.

NOTE: Effective June 4, the TTC is changing the way it distributes news releases and media advisories. Please see release issued on May 28 for details - http://www.ttc.ca/News/2012/May/0528_new_format.jsp
