TTC customers to receive free AIR MILES reward miles this New Year’s Eve

The Toronto Transit Commission and the AIR MILES Reward Program are teaming up and rewarding TTC customers who opt for the better way this New Year’s Eve. From 4 p.m. until midnight on Dec. 31, TTC employees will be handing its customers bonus cards with ten AIR MILES reward miles at key subway stations across the city.

“I want to thank the AIR MILES Reward Program for spearheading this initiative and rewarding our customers for doing the socially responsible thing by taking public transit,” said TTC Chair, Karen Stintz. “The TTC will, indeed, be the better way this New Year’s Eve.”

“We are proud to be joining hands with the TTC as we encourage Torontonians to travel responsibly and make New Year’s Eve safer for everyone,” said Andreas Souvaliotis, president of AIR MILES for Social Change. “Our mission is to help make the world a better place by harnessing the popularity of our loyalty reward points.”

TTC subways, buses and streetcars will operate until 4 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2012, and be free after midnight. Subway service will operate approximately every five minutes.
