TTC to open portion of Bloor-Danforth Subway at noon on Sunday


As a result of TTC track beam replacement on the Prince Edward Viaduct (Bloor Viaduct) on Sunday, August 28, subway service on the Bloor-Danforth Subway, between St George and Pape Stations will begin at 12 noon, instead of 9 a.m.

A frequent, accessible shuttle bus service will run along Bloor Street/Danforth Avenue, between St George and Pape Stations, stopping nearby Bay, Bloor-Yonge, Sherbourne, Castle Frank, Broadview and Chester, where customers can board shuttle buses on the street. Shuttle buses will be using the bus bays at St George and Pape Stations.

TTC staff wearing reflective vests will be present at the affected stops to guide customers and provide directions.

Up until noon, subway trains will turn back westbound at St George and eastbound at Pape.

Track beam replacement in this stretch of subway is also scheduled on Sunday, September 25.
