Public invited to tour TTC Mount Dennis Bus Garage and Greenwood Shop during Doors Open Toronto

The TTC will be opening two of its doors this Saturday, May 29, as part of Doors Open Toronto. The public is invited to visit the Mount Dennis Bus Garage and the Greenwood Shop.

Mount Dennis Bus Garage opened in 2008, and consists of 250,000 square feet and services approximately 245 buses.  Mount Dennis features four cleaning work stations, 16 repair hoists, two work pits and one steam cleaning room. Visitors will be able to ride a bus through the bus wash.

Greenwood Shop opened in 1960, and consists of 190,000 square feet.  Work performed at Greenwood Shop includes vehicle overhauls and rebuilds for the TTC’s fleet of subway trains.
